Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Flor Dickinson. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing and grooming
  • Assist with medication administration and management
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Shop for food and household supplies
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and reliability
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending
Work Environment:
  • Non-smoking work site environment
  • Public transportation available
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding work
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling
Language:
  • English language required
Work Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week
