We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compensation and Benefits Administrator to join our team at Northeast Engineering and Development ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of employee compensation and benefits.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and provide timely support to employees and management.

About the Role:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension plans.
  • Store, update, and retrieve financial data and perform human resources-related duties such as personnel selection.
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements and complete and submit documentations for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
  • Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans and maintain records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements using manual or computerized systems.
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 to less than 7 months of work experience.
  • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent required.
  • English language proficiency is essential.
  • Ability to work on site and maintain accurate records.
