Job Summary:

As a Warehouse Operations Specialist at The North West Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include performing inbound receiving functions, including unloading and loading trailers, building and sorting product to and from pallets, and moving product to proper outbound holding locations for shipping. You will also be responsible for operating handheld scanners/computers and assisting in warehouse/receiving duties as assigned. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inbound receiving functions, including unloading and loading trailers, building and sorting product to and from pallets.
  • Move product to proper outbound holding locations for shipping.
  • Operate handheld scanners/computers.
  • Assist in warehouse/receiving duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:
  • Previous warehouse experience, including shipping and receiving, is required.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently to complete responsibilities and consistently meet production requirements.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Able to complete physically demanding tasks.
  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with a forklift, high stacker, order picker, and/or electric pallet jack is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team or independently.
  • Ready to learn other departmental tasks and assist when required.

Location: Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre, Murray Park Road
