Job Summary

Dynacare is seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Mississauga. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and process patient specimens, including blood samples, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter patient and test information into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with our laboratory team to ensure efficient specimen processing and testing.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to Dynacare's quality and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy specialization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues.
