We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic testing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality.
- Perform, interpret, and release test results, maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
- Identify incidents and non-conformities, participate in the development of effective corrective action plans, and escalate as necessary.
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology to improve laboratory processes.
- Participate in problem-solving and workflow optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- CMLTO registration.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Good computer skills and knowledge.
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow up on issues.
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
