Claims Investigator

Sedgwick is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adjuster General Executive to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for investigating complex claims internationally and negotiating settlements with claimants.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate claims of any size or complexity, including personal, casualty, and property losses or damages.
- Examine claim forms and other records to determine insurance coverage.
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and assess liability.
- Consult police and hospital records, and inspect property damage to determine the extent of company liability.
- Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs.
- Prepare reports of findings and negotiate settlements with claimants.
- Recommend litigation by the legal department when settlement cannot be negotiated.
- Attend litigation hearings and revise case reserves to cover probable costs.
- Prepare loss experience reports to help determine profitability and calculate adequate future rates.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation and be actively pursuing another professional insurance designation.
- Appropriate adjuster license is required.
- Five (5) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
