Restaurant Operations Manager

At SHIVAS DOSA RESTAURANT, we are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
- Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Evaluate daily operations and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency
- Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
- Monitor revenues to determine labour cost and make adjustments as needed
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve productivity
- Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and inventory management
- Recruit and train staff to ensure a high level of customer service
- Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods
- Supervise staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
- Cost products and services to ensure profitability
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Organize and maintain inventory to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation to drive sales and revenue growth
- Leading/instructing individuals to achieve business objectives
- Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide customer service to ensure a positive dining experience
- Manage events and functions to maximize revenue and customer satisfactionComputer and Technology Knowledge:
- Accounting software to manage financial transactions and reports
- Electronic cash register to process transactions and manage inventory
- MS Access to manage databases and track customer information
- MS Excel to analyze data and create reports
- MS Office to create documents and presentations
- MS Outlook to manage email and calendar
- MS Windows to operate computer systems and software
- MS Word to create documents and reports
- Point of sale system to manage transactions and inventory
- Spreadsheet to analyze data and create reports
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high pressure
- Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Large workload and overtime required
- Accurate and efficient in all tasks
