Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at IntactX Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable signals and associated equipment.
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
  • Install and test trunking systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble in telecommunications systems.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to install and maintain equipment.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient completion.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate work.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling to access equipment and work in confined spaces.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Work Term: Permanent with regular working hours.
  • Work Language: English with excellent communication skills.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week with regular breaks.
