Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at IntactX Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable signals and associated equipment.
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers.
  • Install and test trunking systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble in telecommunications systems.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and physical stamina. You will be working with a variety of equipment and systems, and must be able to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
