Unified Communications Manager

About the Role
The City of Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Unified Communications Manager to lead the development and implementation of our telecommunications infrastructure and services. As a key member of our Information Technology team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive technology roadmap for our UC systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a UC technology roadmap for telecommunications infrastructure and services.
- Manage the City's mobility services and mobile device management.
- Ensure the City's telecommunications infrastructure and services operate to agreed service levels.
- Guide the organization through communication systems changes and migrations.
- Work closely with other IT Managers to manage the operations of our Microsoft 365 product suite.
Requirements
- Degree in information technology or a related discipline supplemented by technical courses related to the work.
- Minimum 7 years experience in a technical position within Information Technology and Telecommunications.
- Related experience supervising technical support staff, working with collective agreements, and dealing effectively with labour relations issues.
