Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and develop initiatives to invite community partners to get involved in Relay
- Lead a committee of volunteers to manage portfolios focused on promotional and fundraising aspects of the event
- Work with the Relay Director, Logistics to create a successful event
- Recruit and retain participants, engage with Participant of Hope, and attract sponsors and product donations
- Find additional sources of revenue through pre-Relay activities
- Leadership skills to motivate a group of volunteers to work together and move objectives forward
- Understanding of the community and ability to connect people and involve them in Relay
- Engaging and enthusiastic approach to inviting the community to donate and honour people who have had a cancer experience
- Online resources and training to support your leadership role
- Staff support to help you lead the community engagement side of the Relay committee
- Opportunity to learn and mentor as you engage with CCS staff and volunteers
