Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Analyze and manage the restaurant's budget to ensure profitability, develop and implement cost-saving measures, and monitor revenue and expenses.
- Staff Management: Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service, manage staff schedules, and conduct performance reviews.
- Menu Planning and Pricing: Develop and implement menu plans and pricing strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, monitor stock, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best prices.
- Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, address customer complaints, and provide feedback to staff.
- Marketing and Promotion: Participate in marketing plans and implementation, develop and implement promotional strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that the restaurant meets all health and safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and implement procedures to prevent accidents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the restaurant complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including liquor legislation and regulations.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and strong leadership skills.
- Certifications: Criminal record check.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and tight deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, and ability to multitask.
