**Job Overview**

The Senior Product Specialist role is a high-profile position at Wawanesa Insurance, where you will lead the development and maintenance of insurance products and underwriting policies that support corporate strategies for various lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product and rate reviews to ensure competitive offerings
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps, including business case development and product scope definition
  • Drive research and development initiatives for innovative products that meet customer needs
  • Monitor industry trends, product performance, and legislative changes, and coordinate necessary updates
  • Present product training programs to diverse audiences
  • Mentor team members through knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Lead as a subject matter expert in underwriting and product guides, marketing materials, and other communication resources
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop productive business relationships

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Post-secondary education completion
  • CIP or equivalent Property and Casualty designation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Effective planning and organizing skills
  • Attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to facilitate high team morale and travel when required
