Job Description

Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead its Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indigenous health, cultural safety, and leadership.

About the Role:

  1. Oversee the development and implementation of the Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation Action Plan.
  2. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Indigenous Wellness and Reconciliation team.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, health organizations, and other stakeholders.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure cultural safety and Indigenous human rights.
  5. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Health or Business Administration, Leadership, or Organizational Development.
  2. 7-10 years of related organizational development experience, preferably in an Indigenous health care context.
  3. Strong interpersonal and team-based skills.
  4. Demonstrated leadership and initiative in developing, implementing, and evaluating Indigenous Wellness services and programming.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous health and wellness, cultural protocols, and Indigenous community organizations and services.
