Executive Culinary Manager

We are seeking an experienced Executive Culinary Manager to join our team at Red Radish Caterer Ltd.
Job SummaryThis is a permanent full-time opportunity offering 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our culinary team, maintaining records of food costs and inventory, and creating new recipes.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory levels.
- Develop and implement effective kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food production.
- Instruct and train cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Supervise and lead a team of up to 10 kitchen staff, including sous-chefs and specialist chefs.
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods as required.
- Source and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Develop and implement menu planning and inventory management strategies to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required; post-secondary education in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and pressure to perform.
- Must be able to work effectively under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor during busy periods.
- Regularly exposed to heat, noise, and other hazardous conditions in the kitchen.
The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is based on industry standards and market rates in the location.
