About the RoleThis Actuarial Analyst position provides an opportunity to work with RBC Insurance's inclusive team, applying technical knowledge to perform routine tasks and operational assignments. As an Actuary, you will be involved in learning, influencing, and innovating end-to-end aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, pricing, and negotiations.
You will create complex pricing and reinsurance models for high-impact products, collaborating with the Investment team on asset strategy discussions and the Risk Management team on liability cash flow management. Additionally, you will develop your skills in liaising and negotiating with plan sponsors and their consultants to maintain strong partnerships.
The role involves supporting the operations team in administering placed deals and collaborating with RBC legal counsel on contract wording, business procedures, and policy terms. To succeed in this position, you must possess solid technical and analytical skills, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
