Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders in adult acute care inpatient/outpatient patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult acute care inpatient/outpatient patients
  • Work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with them for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication/swallowing
  • Contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, and education

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
  • One year's clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid BC Driver's license where required
