Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders in adult acute care inpatient/outpatient patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult acute care inpatient/outpatient patients
- Work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with them for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication/swallowing
- Contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, and education
Requirements
- Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia
- One year's clinical experience with adults in a hospital setting and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid BC Driver's license where required
