About the Opportunity

Are you a Rehabilitation Assistant looking to bring your skills and knowledge to a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Rehabilitation Services team at Northern Health Authority.

Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will function as a member of our multidisciplinary team, working under the clinical direction of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, or Recreation Therapists. Your primary responsibilities will include carrying out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, assisting with monitoring patients' progression, and supporting the operational and technical functions of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation of rehabilitative treatment plans and programs under the supervision of a qualified therapist.
  • Monitor patients' or residents' progression and report any changes or concerns to the responsible therapist.
  • Support the operational and technical functions of the department, including maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
