Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at the Northern Health Region. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense prescribed medications to patients or healthcare professionals
  • Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Check prescriptions for proper dosage and accuracy
  • Maintain patient medication profiles, including registry of poisons and controlled substances
  • Ensure the quality of drug products meets standards of potency, purity, uniformity, stability, and safety
  • Evaluate labeling, packaging, and advertising of drug products
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
