Job Summary

The Northern Health Region is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Thompson. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pharmacy services to patients, including medication management and counseling.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal health outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices and technologies to provide evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent undergraduate pharmacy degree.
  • Certification: Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Certification.
  • Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensing in the Province of Manitoba.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospital pharmacy practice is preferred.
  • Skills: Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including fluency in the English language. Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software is preferred.
