About the Role

Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, and finish corners and angles.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for installation.
  • Plastering: Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency and apply to surfaces.
  • Specialized Tasks: Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim, and spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
  • Preparation and Layout: Prepare wall and ceiling layouts, and cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Insulation and Barrier Installation: Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Computer-Aided Design: Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
