Job Summary

Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other drywall installers
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure proper fit and alignment
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure proper drying
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as required
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to assist with drywall installation and layout
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy drywall sheets
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
