Senior Cloud Database Developer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Database Developer to join our team at Amazon. As a Senior Cloud Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale database systems that run across thousands of servers across multiple data-centers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop highly scalable distributed database systems that provide availability, reliability, and performance guarantees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and design.
- Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on database design and development.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
