About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Engine team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale database systems that provide high availability, reliability, and performance guarantees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop significant system software components critical to our industry-leading database services architected for the cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design, and implement highly scalable distributed database systems.
- Own the development of rock-solid components and mentor other developers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Contribute to the development of software solutions that have a broad business impact.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
