Bus Monitor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bus Monitor to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a Bus Monitor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational oversight and day-to-day management of bus routes
• Assist drivers in safe operation of routes, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and safe transportation experience
• Conduct emergency evacuations and assist with loading and unloading students
• Clean the interior of the bus and perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Good verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage high degrees of stress
• Early morning availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Judgement and problem-solving skills
