Job Title: Vice-President - College or University

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our team as Vice-President - College or University at St. Francis Xavier University. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the academic and administrative direction of our institution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Academic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for academic programs, services, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and goals.
  • Operational Management: Lead the development and implementation of operational plans, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of academic and administrative services.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of the university's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the development and management of budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial stewardship.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree: A master's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in higher education, preferably in a university or college setting.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a focus on strategic planning, operational management, and team development.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: A strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
