Canning's Personal Care Home is seeking a skilled Data Centre Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our data centre infrastructure. This includes installing software, hardware, and networking equipment, as well as monitoring system performance and implementing security procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer systems and networking, with experience in installing and maintaining web servers, firewalls, and other network equipment. You will also be responsible for performing routine network start-ups and shutdowns, as well as maintaining control records and performing data backups and disaster recovery operations.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for evaluating and installing computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our data centre and provide excellent customer service to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot data centre infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance and implement security procedures
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Perform routine network start-ups and shutdowns
  • Maintain control records and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations

Requirements:

  • College diploma or equivalent in computer science or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in data centre operations or a related field
  • Strong background in computer systems and networking
  • Experience with web servers, firewalls, and other network equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills
