About the Role

The Head of Teaching and Learning will be responsible for driving academic excellence across Rosedale Global High School's network of partner schools. This includes developing and implementing effective teaching and learning practices, analyzing student performance data, and providing guidance to partner schools on academic program reporting and self-assessment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IB education, with experience in curriculum development, teacher training, and academic operations. They will be able to work collaboratively with the Rosedale team to advance the company's mission of transforming education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning practices to improve student academic achievement and accelerate skill development.
  • Monitor and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted strategies.
  • Provide guidance to partner schools on academic program reporting, self-assessment, and review to promote high standards of academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum and Teacher Development departments to develop innovative practice and solutions to advance community-level teaching and learning effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum content, teacher development programs, and central evaluation practices to enhance Rosedale's learning solutions and the quality of academic delivery.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in IB education at the K-12 level, with a background in curriculum development, teacher training, and academic operations.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in IB curriculum, teaching and learning, with a professional methodology and mindset on academic excellence.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective teaching and learning practices to improve student academic achievement.
  • Deep understanding of teaching management and academic measurements in schools.
  • Proficient skills in large-scale learning data analysis, insight development, and reporting.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • University degree.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Work-location policy: Rosedale employees are currently still 100% work-from-home, but the policy may change in 2023. The candidate should be able and willing to commute to Rosedale HQ office at Markham at least twice a week, if required.
