About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to join our Corporate Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex acquisition, merger, divestiture, or financing assignments, providing direction and oversight on research, and reviewing and providing quality assurance on complex financial models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage complex transactions, taking a lead role in client relationship management.
  • Provide strategic guidance on research and analysis to support financial modeling, competitive analysis, and negotiation support.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of documents and presentations to clients and prospects.
  • Manage staff teams and play a critical role in the development of junior staff.
  • Support multiple Partners on multiple mandates simultaneously.
  • Contribute to the cohesiveness and culture of the M&A team.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external networks within the business community.
  • Participate in the development and execution of industry-specific thought leadership and business plans.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in business with concentrations in finance and/or accounting, plus relevant certifications.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in financial analysis and transaction/financing execution.
  • Strong knowledge of capital market products and bank offerings.
  • Strong knowledge and ability in debt and equity structuring.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills and boardroom presence.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of key business drivers and business strategy.
  • Experience working in small teams and developing/coaching/mentoring junior-level staff.
  • Experience working with multiple internal/external advisors within the context of a transaction.
  • U.S. Broker-Dealer license and Canadian Securities Institute licensing are or will be required.
  • Bilingualism in both French and English is a requirement of this role.
