We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Premier Truck Group. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine required or recommended repairs.


You will accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform the necessary repairs, including repairing engine failures, mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, and replacing parts and components as required. Your duties will also include examining assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is needed, verifying vehicle serviceability, and ensuring quality repairs the first time.


A key aspect of this role is ensuring that customer vehicles are kept clean during the repair process and that costs are contained by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options for repairs as needed. You will also communicate with service advisors and dispatchers to identify additional work required and aid the service writer in writing work orders, conducting test rides, and interacting with customers.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine required or recommended repairs
  • Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform the necessary repairs

Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Must possess Provincial License such as Red Seal/310T
  • Current and in good standing with membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses preferred
