Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and licensed diesel truck technician to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our fleet of trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty equipment
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure timely completion of repairs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in diesel truck maintenance and repair
  • Provincial license (Red Seal/310T) and current driver's license class D or class 3 with air brake certification
  • Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade, including welding equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials)
