Senior iOS Software Engineer for Reddit's Poster Experience

At Reddit, we're passionate about empowering people to participate in global conversations through communities. Our Core Experience organization is dedicated to making it easier, faster, and smarter to create and participate in conversations. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Software Engineer to join our Poster Experience team.

This is a high-impact role where you'll own projects from ideation to production, working closely with our cross-functional team. You'll collaborate with product and design teams to execute on product and business strategy, building novel products and features that our users will love.

This role can be remote within the United States or Canada, or can be a hybrid model if near an office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and ship iOS code, experiments, and products for millions of users.
  • Work cross-functionally, collaborating and partnering with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy.
  • Communicate effectively, within the team and across disciplines, to craft compelling user experiences.
  • Contribute meaningfully to our team's strategy, participating in product reviews and team meetings to provide technical insight.
  • Foster a healthy engineering culture and collaborate with other engineers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on, professional software development experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale, using Swift.
  • Expertise in Swift.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as unit/integration/end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
  • BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-directed, innovative, and biased towards action in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborating effectively with teams in a fully remote environment.
