Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our maintenance team in a multi-site manufacturing environment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our machinery, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all maintenance staff and activities across multiple sites in the Lower Mainland
  • Accelerate adoption of the computerized maintenance management system
  • Budget for all maintenance activities and supplies
  • Assist in strategic planning of plant and equipment layouts
  • Coordinate various projects taking into consideration municipal regulations, architectural, engineering, and trades
  • Drive continuous improvement of First Time Quality (FTQ) components through process innovation and variation reduction
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation disciplines
  • 10 years' experience in plant engineering and maintenance operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity
  • Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management software (CMMS)
  • Experience with tablet presses, encapsulation, packaging equipment, high pressure steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), speed controls, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of ACAD computer-aided design software
  • Experience with large scale production or facilities expansion projects would be an asset
