About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Mary Browns. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and cooked in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and develop our kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our staff and customers.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage our kitchen team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
