About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure they are properly stored.
  • Food Preparation and Handling
    • Assist in preparing and portioning food for service, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
    • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
    • Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
