About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Marcantonio Designs Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools and equipment
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Train and supervise apprentices, promoting a culture of excellence and safety
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, adhering to industry standards
Work Environment

As a Framing Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on quality and safety. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
