Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Parts and Services Coordinator to join our team at Norfolk County Garage in Simcoe, ON.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, automotive parts, and services. This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary of $29.64 - $37.04 per hour.

About the Role
  • Schedule maintenance services and repairs for the County Garage fleet, ensuring timely arrival of all necessary parts or components.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including reports and minor customization of software programs when required.
  • Main contact for service and material requests for Norfolk County Garage, responding promptly to emergency situations as needed.
  • Schedule work orders for technicians, ensuring equitable workload and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Purchase and maintain adequate inventory of parts, components, and materials, tracking high-usage items for sufficient availability.
  • Distribute supplies and materials to applicable departments, perform light building housekeeping and grounds maintenance duties.
  • Research market for procurement of materials, create and obtain quotes for repairs, and present findings to the Supervisor.
  • Organize tows, pick up and delivery of units for service between yards and vendors as required, and complete all necessary paperwork and reports.
Requirements

This role requires:

  • A minimum Grade 12 plus two-year diploma or degree relative to the area of responsibility (Inventory Management, Automotive parts and Service, Motive Power, etc.) or equivalent.
  • At least three years of related experience in a fleet maintenance or dealership environment, preferably with certifications such as Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Automotive Service Technician (310S).
  • A G Class license is mandatory, with a valid DZ or AZ driver's license considered an asset.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to creatively find solutions to solve sourcing/supply issues.
  • Purchasing authority according to Policy #'s EBS-02 and EBS-06.
