About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Management Planner to join our team in Edmonton. This role requires a strong understanding of emergency management principles, practices, and procedures.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, facilitating, coordinating, and executing provincial level emergency management plans, exercises, and lessons learned processes. They will also ensure that programs and plans are in place to support ministries, municipalities, industry, and the Government of Canada during incidents, emergencies, and disasters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing emergency management plans, exercises, and lessons learned processes
  • Ensuring that programs and plans are in place to support ministries, municipalities, industry, and the Government of Canada during incidents, emergencies, and disasters
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to develop complex plans
  • Sharing knowledge through various mediums such as presentations, exercises, briefings, etc.

Requirements: A university degree in a related field PLUS 2 years of progressively responsible related experience or equivalency. Experience in emergency planning, including developing, implementing, and evaluating emergency planning and preparedness programs.
