Job Title: Welder-Fitter

G&B Fabrication inc is seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Welder-Fitter to work in our fabrication shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure that welds meet standards and specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air).
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes and techniques, including SMAW and GMAW.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
