Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nursing Assistant to join our team at Shared Health - Selkirk Mental Health Centre. As a valued member of our staff, you will provide exceptional care and support to patients, focusing on their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic interventions based on recovery/treatment plans developed using the Psychosocial Rehabilitation model
- Assist patients with daily living activities, personal care, and recreational activities in a safe environment
- Offer supervision and guidance to patients, promoting independence and self-reliance
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba Standards, required
- Experience providing care and support to persons with disabilities preferred
- Excellent command of the English language (oral and written)
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload, respond to demands, and work effectively as a team member
