Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and reconcile financial transactions for the Canadian, US, and Mexican entities applying ASPE standards.
- Participate in payroll entries and reconciliation of the payroll accounts of the North American entities bi-monthly.
- Support the Assistant Corporate Controller with the monthly consolidation process.
- Participate in the investigation and documentation of the subsidiaries' unusual transactions.
- Coordinate the consolidation of the Asia region's entities.
- Participate in the month-end close of non-operating companies of the Group.
- Participate in the analysis and documentation of complex accounting transactions.
- Participate in the optimization and improvement of the accounting function.
- Support the treasury function.
- Prepare the year-end audit requests and support the audit processes.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Assist with the annual insurance renewal process.
- Support any ad-hoc project requests.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Accounting certification CPA or equivalent.
- 5 years of financial accounting experience in a multinational environment, with multi-currency and intercompany transactions.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, or ASPE.
- Experience in consolidation.
- Experience with inventory accounting.
- Experience using an ERP, D365 is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel.
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Bilingual – Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written; Spanish an asset.
