We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Environmental Remediation Supervisor to join our Team Green Environmental Remediation/Construction group at GFL Environmental.

Why is this role important?

As an Environmental Remediation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and developing safe work procedures.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Act as the primary point of contact on-site for assigned projects
  • Develop and implement safety performance improvements
  • Perform job task assessments, field-level hazard assessments, and assist with the development of safe work procedures
  • Report incidents, safety infractions, and non-compliance issues, and participate in investigations and corrective actions
  • Supervise daily activities to meet project targets
  • Assist with estimating project costs and developing work plans
  • Other tasks as assigned

What qualifications do I need?

  • Diploma in a technical field is an asset
  • Minimum of 1-3 years in a supervisory role is an asset
  • Previous experience in industrial settings, project management, and estimating is required
  • Previous experience with waste disposal and/or environmental remediation, on-site water treatment, civil construction, and demolition is considered an asset
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
