Job Title:

Accessibility Specialist - Rehabilitation and Support

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Accessibility Specialist to join our team at ABA Autism Services INC. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing rehabilitation and support services to individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Goal Setting: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' cognitive, social, and emotional barriers to establish personalized adaptation goals.
  • Rehabilitation Planning: Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on clients' special needs, facilitating their readaptation and independence objectives.
  • Instruction and Training: Provide instruction in braille reading and writing, lip-reading, finger spelling, sign language, and the use of rehabilitative techniques, prosthetic devices, and wheelchairs.
  • Life Skills Development: Assist clients in developing essential life skills, including job training and support.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with specialists to design programs tailored to clients' unique needs.
  • Supervision: Oversee office and volunteer staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Credentials: College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma from a 1-2 year program.
  • Experience: At least 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health package, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth.
