Radiological Technologist, Screening Mammography/General Procedures Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine screening mammography, diagnostic radiography/fluoroscopy, and other medical imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general duty radiographic/fluoroscopic and screening mammography procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and radiation protection practices.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, monitoring patient safety and equipment performance during procedures.
- Prepare examination trays, patients, and equipment for specific procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
- Enter relevant data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in medical imaging.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, applying evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Successful completion of CAMRT Mammography 1 or equivalent.
- One year's recent, related experience in mammography procedures and general radiographic procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
