Job Title: Radiological Technologist, CT/General Procedures About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist, CT/General Procedures to join our team at Langley Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT and radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Performs special procedure examinations in CT in accordance with established procedures • Monitors patient during procedures and responds to possible contrast media reactions or other emergent situations • Images studies using radiography equipment and departmental information systems • Facilitates the workflow of designated work area by checking information on requisitions and regulating inpatient examination time • May oversee the daily operations and activities of Medical Imaging personnel, including supervising departmental staff and preparing patient booking schedules • Participates in the departmental Continuous Quality Improvement program by performing quality assurance checks and maintaining designated work area • Demonstrates procedures and usage of equipment to staff and participates in orientation of new employees • Maintains patient and hospital records by entering data into the Radiology and Hospital Information System Requirements: • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) • Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one (1) year recent, related experience • Completion of an Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level • Demonstrated knowledge of standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations • Demonstrated ability to develop procedure protocols and manuals, communicate effectively with clients and staff, and work independently and in collaboration with others About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over 2 million people.
