Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Supervisor to join our team at Real Canadian Superstore. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor, ensuring a positive customer experience, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure effective coverage of the sales floor
- Hire, train, and develop sales team members to meet business objectives
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Establish and maintain work schedules to ensure adequate staffing
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters
- Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages in a timely and professional manner
- Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Supervise and coordinate activities of sales team members
- 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
