Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our Logistics Operations team at the Government of Canada - Western. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of our transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to optimize resource allocation and improve operational efficiency
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior staff and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to achieve organizational objectives
  • Formulate and approve financial and administrative controls, as well as promotional campaigns and human resources planning
  • Represent the organization in negotiations and official functions, and delegate representatives as needed
  • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to ensure optimal working conditions
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and efficiency

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in the transportation or logistics sector
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful organizational policies and programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Computer and technology knowledge, including MS Office
