About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Superintendent to join our team at Ledcor Construction, Inc. in the lower mainland. As a key member of our Infrastructure division, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction process to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Develop and implement resource-loaded 3-week look-ahead schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Manage and maintain company vehicles and equipment on the project site.
- Review and approve subtrade/supplier invoices against field purchase orders.
- Prepare and submit field change orders as required.
- Collaborate with coordinators/engineers to craft and submit RFIs for clarification of scopes.
Requirements
- 15+ years of construction supervision experience.
- Previous experience as a GF, Superintendent, or similar direct supervisory role.
- Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry-related trade certification/education.
- Solid understanding of modern construction practices.
- Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule.
- Understanding of construction documents and the ability to ensure they are complete and protect the owner's interest.
- Contract negotiation/management skills.
- Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
- A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
