Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our concrete structure projects in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of concrete construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project schedules, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the concrete construction team, including foremen, subcontractors, and laborers.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure all concrete work meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process, implementing solutions that minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure project requirements are understood and met.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, dams, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
  • Strong leadership, safety, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit's policies, procedures, and software programs.
