Job Title: Superintendent, Earthworks

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our team at Moving2Canada. As a key member of our civil construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of earthworks and infrastructure projects in Vancouver.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and supervise workers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with in-house trades, subcontractors, and company departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce compliance with project safety programs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach direct reports to ensure they meet company policies, procedures, and technical work requirements.
  • Provide liaison between field engineering, estimating, and trade to ensure construction aligns with plans and specifications.
  • Inspect work areas to determine required materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate mobilization efforts and job site setup.
  • Resolve construction problems and constructability challenges.
  • Ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.
  • Assist with scheduling and cost estimate preparation.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Field Superintendent in the earthworks/ utilities/ foundations/ heavy-civil construction industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously or one large project.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office software.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret project schedules, engineering plans, and specifications.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
